My name is Javiera Rolando and I’m a Chilean illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Vancouver, B.C. since 2021.

After some years working as an architect, I decided to fully embrace my passion for print design and painting. Since then, I have earned an Illustration Certificate from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and started Nanaimo Estudio in 2019, an online shop based in Chile, as a way of applying my hand drawn art to textile products, art prints and ceramics.

I have also collaborated with wonderful clients, designing patterns and prints for accessories and clothing. My work is inspired by people, travel, nature, architecture and the simple things of everyday life.
